On November 7th, 2024, Lisa Lehner gave an input talk on establishing a “deprescribing” mindset und implementing “deprescribing” strategies in Austria in the course of the “Less is More?” research project. Talking alongside Prof. Hans Hogerzeil, Professor of Global Health at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, who was responsible for the WHO’s essential medicine policies for over twenty years, and Lisa McCarthy Associate Professor at the University of Toronto, Canada, and co-director of Deprescribing.org, the talk contextualized different means of discontinuing and reducing in the context of medical use and therapies. It was hosted and organized by the Global Pharmaceuticals and Society Studies Network.
